Feedback Thoughts
I feel feedback is good for improving your weakest points. But, part of improving from feedback is receiving good feedback. A lot of the time I feel other students may be scared to be too tough or just too lazy to give proper feedback, and much rather give niceties. It doesn’t do any good to either person, and I hope that people aren’t afraid to point out what’s wrong.
I did a lot of studio art related stuff, and it really upset me when people would just say they liked my art or only gave nice comments rather than an honest input of what could be fixed. Constructive criticism is the quickest way to improve your weakest points in art, and I feel it goes the same for really anything you do!

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, there are many people who will only give positive feedback for fear of the person on the receiving end's reaction. Sure, positive feedback is always nice to receive; however, constructive criticism can be extremely beneficial to help someone improve their work.
